INTRODUCTION / CLIENT OVERVIEW
To create an easily accessible, self-paced e-module for community college level adult learners interested in retail and e-commerce, providing a fundamental introduction to key topics, careers, and terminology. The course needed to be adaptable for faculty across California Community Colleges, seamlessly integrate with Canvas LMS, and deliver a high-quality learning experience on both mobile and desktop devices.

THE RESULT
The module was developed and published on OER Commons in the Fall of 2022. The module seamlessly incorporates into the Canvas LMS, supporting smooth installation for instructors. It includes interactive elements such as videos, hot spots, knowledge checks, a pre-test to assess baseline knowledge, and a post-test to measure learning outcomes. Articulate Rise 360 was selected for its SCORM 1.2 output, enabling a great learning experience across both mobile and desktop devices
A fully developed and free Open Education Resource (OER), shared with educators across California, offering a scalable, accessible e-commerce learning solution. The course supports both faculty and students, ensuring an engaging and mobile-friendly experience, with built-in assessments that prepare learners for careers in e-commerce.
